Omar Coatings is continuously growing in every aspect. We know that every detail counts and, therefore, not only do we care about innovating our products with the large number of laboratory technicians that work in our R + D + i department, but we also focus on the small details, such as the design of our labels. As such, our technical and marketing departments have come together to carry out this project.
On the legislative front, we have always complied with all the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and Council on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, and all of its subsequent amendments. While continuing to comply with these regulations, we will also add a touch of colour, brightness and some new parameters to our labels. These new parameters include the incorporation of a QR barcode, which can provide all kinds of information about the product and the company to our customers; such as Safety Data Sheets, Technical Data Sheets, a link to the Omar Coatings website, different product catalogues, etc.
Furthermore, the internationalisation of Omar Coatings has obliged us to add new languages to the labels. From now on, they will be supplied in a minimum of 4 languages and up to 8 different languages! This exceptional addition gives our clients the convenience of being able to read all the information in their mother tongue, be it Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Lithuanian, Polish, Turkish or Dutch. This important effort works towards providing our clients with a wider range of information on our products and a better service.
All this would not be possible without our investment in new printing machinery specifically for chemical industry labels, which focuses on assuring good ink adhesion on the label paper, preventing it from spreading when products such as water or solvent are spilled. Because these new printers print with colour ink, the new label design will incorporate Omar’s signature logo and blue colour, including a watermark with a corporate blue fill pattern, thus making our labels even more attractive. The print quality has also been improved, so both the text and the pictographs are now in high definition. This helps to make them easier to read, since the text is very small in size.
Soon you will be able to find our packaged products with this new label design in the market, and we hope that it will be as useful and attractive for you as it is for us.
